Won Bin, who is the special representative for UNICEF Korea was in Gambia, Africa from April 4 – 13. The 32-year-old visited the slums of the country’s capital, Banjul.
Unicef has been providing aid to the people of Banjul such as mosquito nettings (to prevent malaria) as well as supplying vitamin A to help the undernourished children. Unicef Korea also donated money to help build an elementary school for the kids.
Won Bin was delighted and thankful to be a part of something so meaningful.
The actor will be making his big screen comeback (after being absent from the entertainment scene due to his military service) in the Bong Joon-ho-directed flick Mother.
In the drama/ crime flick, Won Bin plays a mentally retarded guy who is accused of murder. However, his Mother (played by Kim Hye-ja) insists on his innocence...and so begins a heartbreaking and moving story about a Mother’s devotion and love.
Check out the trailer below. I so wanna watch it, how about you?
