Entertainment Weekly featured Eru in one of its episodes recently and the 24-year-old sportingly bungee jumped for the program. That's where I learned about the singer.
Now it is reported that Eru, real name Cho Sung-hyun, will enlist in the army in 2008, most likely in the second half of the year.
The US-born singer gave up his American citizenship in 2005 and acquired a Korean one.
Eru, who attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, will be holding his first solo concert in February at Yonsei University. He reportedly said that he intends to hold a solo concert before he joins the military.
Eru's father, veteran trot singer Tae Jin-ah, will appear as a guest at the concert.
Umm, 질문 question: Why doesn't Eru carry his father's surname - Tae?

tae jin ah is a stage name too.
Eru's birth name is 조성현 (Jo Sung Hyun). His father's name is actually조방현 (Jo Bang Hyun).
Ah thank you anonymous & g35733, it makes sense now.
car, you want Malaysian entertainment websites in English? Hmm, that's a rarity actually. There are a few in Bahasa Malaysia...I think.
This is the one I'm familiar with.
u can never go to too many blogs to read KEntNews *haha* U will always find out new things ^^ Now we kno more on Eru..BTW, he's good, check out his Vol.3!
He's been receiving a lot of flack at the other websites I've read. Seems that folks view this as a publicity stunt. Personally, I've known MANY friends who married a foreigner just for the citizenship so I don't think anyone in their right mind would give up US nationality unless they're the Uni-Bomber or something! :P
MERRY CHRISTMAS K-POPPED!
It's not a publicity stunt cuz he gave it up 2 years before he debuted as a singer.
