Kim Sa-rang and Ivy in Tokyo,Yeowubi

Kim Sa-rang will team up with estranged singer Ivy and Kim Tae-woo in a melodrama called Tokyo, Yeowubi which was filmed entirely in Japan.

The drama tells of the love between an actress and a sushi chef in Japan. The director of the drama, Lee Joon-hyung, is famous for directing music videos of singers Sung Si-kyung, Lee Soo-young and Vibe.

Also starring in the TV drama are Japanese actors Otani Ryohei, Okuda Erika and Yamamoto Gaku. Besides the director, writer and producer, the entire crew is Japanese.

The SBS drama will start airing in Korea on June 2, 3, 9 and 10.

Since Ivy was plagued with the ugly boyfriend scandal late last year, she has been laying low. This TV drama could be a big break for her. Nope, Ivy isn't crying because of problems with her ex-boyfriend. I hope that's history by now. Those are tears of joy! Ivy accepted her award for Digital Music at the 2007 Golden Disk award. She was pretty emotional as she gave her thank you speech, and could not hold back her tears.

It looks like Ivy is a sensible gal, as she dressed in a black suit (all covered up) for the awards ceremony. It's winter after all.

Ivy's ex-boyfriend causes trouble

An ex with violent tendencies is bad news and poor Ivy has to deal with one such psycho since the guy, Yoo Mo sshi, is blackmailing the singer with a "homemade video". The nature of the video is unknown.


Apparently, Yoo met Ivy before her 2005 debut and they dated for 2 years. The currently out-of-work model is blackmailing the 25-year-old because he claims she was seeing another man (a popular singer) on the side while they were dating.

Also, it is said that the wacko has been pitching the story of his failed relationship with Ivy to production companies.

Yoo's actions are so damaging to the singer's career that her talent agency, Fantom Entertainment, held a press conference to address the issue today (Nov 2). The company has pressed charges against Yoo.

It seems like they have a solid case against the Ex as they showed photo evidence of the man's violent tendencies:

Ivy is the new face for Reebok

Earlier this year, K-pop singer Ivy was chosen to be the Korean face for sports brand Reebok. She joins other stars such as Scarlett Johansson, French soccer player Thierry Henry, NBA player Allen Iverson and Chinese NBA player Yao Ming.

Reebok chose Ivy as its model because of her stylish image and confidence. They also thought that her sincerity and challenging spirit matched its brand value.

25-year-old Ivy also endorses MP3 player iRiver and LG Household & Health Care.

Hi, my name is Ivy and I am a pop singer and model in South Korea. Come and spend the day with me.

6:00 AM
Wake up - it's a brand new day! I pull on my track suit and Reebok trainers and go for a jog. Of course i can only use the iRiver MP3 player because I am endorsing it. I can't use Apple's iPod no-siree!


8:00 AM
Drive to the market to do some grocery shopping. While in town, stop by the news stand to read the morning papers. Is there any news on me? I should be doing grocery shopping, but that's just so boring. I like buying sweets and junk food instead.




10:00 AM
Head to the dance studio to practice some of my dance moves. I need to practice really hard shaking my bon-bon to out-do fellow sexy diva Lee Hyo-ri. Being a female pop singer ain't that simple. The competition is really tough. On a happier note, I am really excited to be opening for Christina Aguilera tonight!


12 NOON
Gosh i am having a super busy day today. I am at Dong Beak elementary school giving the students there a pep talk. I can't disappoint them.




1:30 AM
Grab a quick lunch. I love sushi. Do you?



2:30 PM
Although I am having a super busy day, I find time to goof around with my best friend MC Mong. C'mon everyone, say hi to "monkey". Isn't he adorable? Please just ignore the weirdo in the background. I know he is ruining the pic, but I just don't have the heart to tell him to buzz off.



3:30 PM
Taking a break to reflect on my music career. Oh how I wish I could work with Korean hunk Se7en again. I had so much fun working with him in the music video All Night Long. Maybe I can ask my manager to call his manager to see if he can take some time off from his US work schedule. Yes, I think I shall do that.



4:00 PM
I am meeting fans at a Reebok promo event. I am so touched that a fan with leukemia came to greet me. I just love my fans.




5:30 PM
Boy I am so excited, I will be opening for Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics Concert in Seoul. Need to have a quick bite before I go on stage. Love these Korean instant noodles. They are a life saver!



6:30 PM
On stage, performing. I always end with my signature SOT (Sonata of Temptation) pose. Can you recognize it?




10:00 PM
After the Christina Aguilera concert I unwind by heading into town to chill and dance the night away. I like to pole dance once in awhile. Gosh, on the way to the dance club I get mobbed by fans. Can you spot me in the crowd? Luckily Rain loaned me his personal bodyguard to keep me safe. What a guy.



1:00 AM
Finally, the day ends and I am at home winding down. My comfortable bed beckons. Good night everyone! I hope you enjoyed spending the day with me. * kiss * kiss *

Ivy (아이비)

K-pop singer Ivy debuted in 2005 with the album My Sweet and Free Day. Although she debuted with a sexy image, word has it that nowadays she has been keeping her clothes on and showing off her strong vocals instead.

She was rather quiet in 2006 but released a new album called A Sweet Moment in 2007. One of the album's song's music video (Temptation of Sonata) caused a lot of controversy. It was banned because a South Korean court ruled that it illegally copied a scene from Japanese game company Square-Enix's Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Ivy also opened for Christina Aguilera's concert in Korea earlier this year. She also collaborated with Shinhwa for their album State of the Art on the track Highway Star.
