SS501 Persona Concert in Seoul

SS501 kicked off their 1st Asia Tour Concert in Seoul, Persona on 01 August. They performed at Seoul's Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium. This is their first concert in four years!

Kim Hyun Joong's Boys Before Flowers co-stars Goo Hye Sun, Lee Min Ho and Kim Bum attended the concert to show their support! Kim Joon wasn't present because he is currently performing in his musical theatre debut, Youth March). It looks like the F4 and Gu have become fast friends! The three of them - Kim Bum, Min Ho and Hye Sun sat side by side at the concert and chatted and had fun at the concert.

Kim Joon & Lee Min Ho at Gu Hye Sun's Tango Art Exhibition

Gu Hye Sun's paintings look like art work accomplished by dipping string into a pot of paint, laying the string onto a sheet of paper, fold the paper in half, then pull! Of course, her paintings are much more elaborate and delicate than what i just described and i don't think she created them that way. But they looked like that to me at first glance. If she didn't use the dip - fold - pull method, then i assume those art work would take up a lot of time - painting those feathery strokes! She's a genius! (Rooster, please insert expert comment whenever you feel like it.)

Gu Hye Sun's Tango art exhibition opened on 01 July at La Mer Gallery in Insadong, Seoul. Her work consists of 42 paintings all made in her chosen hue - the colour blue. Gu's Boys Over Flowers co-stars Lee Min Ho and Kim Joon attended the exhibition and happily viewed the pictures while Gu provided them with brief descriptions of each.

Multi-talented Gu has also published a book of the same name. It's great to see them supporting each other and attending events after working together in the hit drama, BOF.

F4 Special Edition Music Drama (Episodes 3 & 4)

Okay, this is what we've been waiting for, the rest of the F4 music videos. And boy did they make us wait. Ji-hoo and Jun-pyo's music videos were supposed to be released on May 5th but was delayed until May 19. Here's episode 3 and 4 of the Boys Before Flowers After Story (5 years from where the drama left off that is).

There's barely any new footage in Ji-hoo's episode. Only the part where he makes a snow man i think. After five years, our dear Ji-hoo sunbae is still pining for Geum Jandi and thinks about the times they spend together. He loves her still.

Jun-pyo's episode is really cute. He makes little Geum Jandi choc biscuits for her. And of course sings the song "My Everything". :-) @Liz, perhaps not quite a Hwanhee, but he does have a husky voice and will get better with more training and practice.

Ji-hoo seems to have the least new footage. It looks like Kim Hyun-joong didn't spend much time shooting the "After Story". I wonder if he wants to put his Ji-hoo sunbae character behind him. We actually see Jun-pyo and Woo-bin a lot. So Lee Min-ho and Kim Joon must have spent the most time on this project.

Anyway, no more short music dramas please. Maybe after five years and after the boys have done various other projects, reunite them for a movie. ;-)

Boys Over Flowers actress Gu Hye-sun (25) arrived 30 minutes late for her book signing event at the Kyobo Bookstore in Jamsil, Seoul on April 9.

The multi-talented actress wrote Tango while filming the highly-popular drama. The book, which is about a girl experiencing love and heartache, comes with 40 illustrations by Gu herself.

Korean F4 on Japanese talk show

F4 and Gu Hye Sun all colour co-ordinated on Japanease talk show Sakaseusang

Korean F4 (Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum and Kim Joon) and Gu Hye Sun went to Japan on April 15 to promote their drama Boys Before Flowers. They appeared in a Japanese talk show called Sakaseusang. The TBS Sakaseusang live TV talk show was shot in Akasaka, Japan.

F4 and Gu Hye Sun arrived just minutes before the live talkshow came to an end. Fans were quite disappointed to only be able to see the Korean actors for only 2 minutes. The host only managed to squeeze in a couple of questions to Kim Hyun Joong who replied in Japanese. He's the only one who is fluent in Japanese.

After the program went off air, it has been reported that there was an additional 30 minutes where the Boys Before Flowers cast were interviewed and interacted with fans. The 30-minute clip has yet to be aired on Sakaseusang. However, below are some of the questions that were asked...

Where do you want to go first in Japan?

Kim Bum & Lee Min Ho: Harajuku
Kim Joon: Roppongi
Gu Hye Sun: Ueno Park
Kim Hyun Joong: Because I love beef, I really want to try deopbapin 덮밥인 famous beef bowl, “gyudong” 규동(牛丼) that I heard it’s very delicious (KHY replied in fluent Japanese)


Do you have any memorable memories in Japan?

Lee Min Ho: I’ve been to Nolreoon 2 years ago with a friend, and I didn’t know how expensive the taxi fare was from Tokyo airport to Shibuya. That was the price I won’t ever forget. (laughs)

[ The cab fare from the airport to downtown Shibuya is a close equal to the price of a round-trip air fare from Korea - Japan!]

What are your memories after working on the drama?

Kim Joon: Everyone was friendly on the set.
Kim Bum: Although the shooting schedule was physically and mentally taxing, it was a happy and fun time for me.
Lee Min Ho: Since the drama was shot in winter, many of us were suffering from cold. There was even one scene where I had to jump into a swimming pool on a cold wintry night. Because of that, i was eventually admitted to the hospital for a couple of days!
Kim Hyun Joong: I suffered from lack of sleep and was pretty much exhausted during the filming of the drama.

Lastly, Gu Hye Sun was asked who is her favourite F4 member and she replied Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong. (I'm not surprised...because those are the two she had to work the most with, and whom she had to kiss too! ;-)

Lee Min Ho didn't looked his best. That sweater is so
boring it looks like something his grandpa would wear!
And the hair is neither curly nor straight! Not his best look.

Kim Hyun Joong looks hot from the waist up. That white shirt and
gold chains around his neck is awesome next to his tanned skin.
However, from waist down, he looks like he's wearing a woman's
capri pants and a very feminine belt.

Kim Bum looks too uptight and proper in the sweater...
and what's with the Hawaiian print shirt? Looks like he
left his impeccable fashion sense back in Seoul.

Kim Joon doesn't look hot, but not too bad either.
Don't like the grey sweater/vest he's wearing inside.

There's no pic of Gu Hye Sun on her own, but i like her chiffon dress
