Nichkun takes another photo of sleeping manager
The mischievous Nichkun of 2PM is at it again, snapping another pic of his sleeping manager! On Aug 26, the 22 year old tweeted the below pic.
Nichkun cheekily points to the sleeping manger while Wooyoung makes a funny face. Meanwhile, Junho “places” his hand on the sleeping man’s stomach and Junsu, happily poses for the camera :P. Oh, aren’t they imps, all of them!
This isn’t the first time Nichkun has taken and tweeted a pic of his exhausted manager. On Aug 11, he also shared the following picture.

I wonder if the manager will lose his job since he’s been caught sleeping on the job twice?

Malaysian Kpop fans want 2PM
After a simple survey conducted at k-popped.com, 2PM emerged as the most-wanted group to perform live in Malaysia.
We conducted the survey for 15 days beginning Aug 7, and received 1,049 votes. Participants could vote for more than one act, which included popular bands such as Wonder Girls, Big Bang and Kara.

Coming in second with 297 votes (28%) is YG Entertainment’s Big Bang. It looks like there’s also a substantial number of VIPs (fans) in Malaysia.
The third most-wanted kpop act by Malaysian fans is SHINee with 287 votes (27%), thanks to Malaysian Shawols.
You'll notice that the top three most-wanted acts are male idol groups. What about the girl groups, you ask?
The two leading contenders are the Wonder Girls and Sonyeoshidae (SNSD a.k.a Girls’ Generation). SNSD bagged 248 votes (23%) while the Wonder Girls trail behind them with 221 votes (21%).
Thank you to all our readers who participated in the survey. Hopefully, it’ll be a good indicator for event organizers who are contemplating on which Kpop act to bring to Malaysia next :).

2PM covers KoreAm
David Yi of KoreAm, a monthly magazine that covers all things Korea American, talked to 2PM when the group was in New York recently.
The boys - except Junsu, who was recovering from an injured leg in South Korea - were there as the opening act of the Wonder Girls' American tour.
The very engaging read is on the sextet’s rise to fame, an interview with the members, as well as an attempt to crack open that still-touchy issue of Jay Park’s departure from the band.
Here are some juicy quotes from the interview with 2PM:
Taecyeon on his scandal with SNSD's Yoona:
“One of the guys that [sic] was taking pictures [with us] was like, ‘I’m so jealous of you Taecyeon!’” he says. “I’m like ‘What?’ and he’s like, ‘Yoona!’ like ‘What? No.’ It’s just a scandal. So it’s kind of like, you know, awkward between me and her cause we’re doing the same program but a lot of people are like, you know, kind of looking at us like ‘they’re still dating each other.’ But we’re not. The company’s not even giving us enough time to date each other!”
Nichkhun on testing himself on how long he can last without sleep:
“Like how many hours can you stay up. You know, like two days, three days without sleep. An hour a day for like three weeks.”
On contacting Jay Park:
Nichkhun: “No he [Park] doesn’t [contact us]. We don’t have time but... He’s doing his own thing and we’re doing our own thing. I guess he’s really busy.
Taecyeon: “I mean, I highly doubt it cause we’re too busy with our schedules.”
Nichkhun: “He’s probably going to be busy too,” continues Nichkun. “He has a movie and what not. We would like to congratulate him, if we see him.”
If you're in the U.S., grab the Aug 2010 issue (seen above). Meanwhile, international fans can read the article at: http://iamkoream.com/cover-story-2pm/
Thanks to Johnny M for the heads up! :)

Jay Park to return to South Korea for Hype Nation
Very much like his former bandmates, former 2PM leader Jay Park (Park Jaebom) Don’t Stop and Can’t Stop . The 23 year old is set to return to South Korea to film his new dance flick Hype Nation.
A Hype Nation rep said: “Jaebeom will arrive in Korea with his parents in the beginning of June. He is planning to stay in Korea for about 70 days.”
This marks the Korean-American’s first return to Korea after quitting 2PM in Sept 2009.
According to the report, the filmmakers behind Hype Nation are largely from the Hollywood dance movie Step Up. American hip hop group B2K also appears in Hype Nation.

2PM’s new single is Don’t Stop, Can’t Stop
Hmm, very appropriate indeed.
JYP’s 2PM boys will be dropping their new single entitled Don’t Stop, Can’t Stop on April 19.

idol groups are all growing up :-)
The group went through a really rough patch in 2009 when its leader Jaebeom (now known as Jay Park) quit the group and returned to the US because of derogatory remarks he made in the past.
The existing 2PM members are now set for a comeback. I guess the sextet is making it very clear that nothing can or is gonna stop ‘em. Awesome!
I’m looking forward to see what the boys have in store. Knowing that JYP is probably producing again for the group, I’m quite sure it will be another hit.
Bring it.

Park Jaebeom – we want you back!
That’s the plea of over a thousand 2PM fans who gathered in front of the JYP Entertainment office building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on Sept 13.
About 1,500 fans, who call themselves Hottest, wore black and staged a silent protest outside the boyband’s management company from 2pm onwards. Fans want band leader Jaebeom to return and unite with the group.
Police were on standby in case things got out of hand but the fans behaved themselves. All they wanted was Jaebeom’s return.
Jaebeom quit 2PM, one of South Korea’s hottest boybands, and returned to the States after an old derogatory comment he made about Koreans surfaced. Due to the reaction of the public, the Korean-American decided to quit the band and return to the USA.

Jaebeom quits 2PM and leaves for home
Korean-American Jaebeom has quit 2PM, one of the hottest boybands in South Korea.
Controversy arising from an old post at his MySpace website caused the 22-year-old to quit.
It is reported that the Again and Again singer wrote comments like “Korea is gay. I hate Koreans. I wanna come back” on his MySpace site two years ago when he was a trainee at JYP Entertainment.
The 2PM leader then issued an apology recently, but it is quite apparent that it wasn't good enough.
Today, Jaebeom announced that he is leaving the group…and Korea. The management agency he is under - JYP Entertainment - confirmed the news.
Jaebeom's farewell message (translated from Korean) reads:
Hello, I'm 2PM's Jaebeom.
I'm sorry for giving you my last greeting through this letter. I think it will be hard for me to see you all on stage because of my sorry heart.
I'm really sorry to everyone, and I'm even more sorry to the fans who have shown me love.
From today, I will leave 2PM.
2PM boys, I'm really sorry to the boys and I'm sorry I couldn't be strong as a leader and a hyung and have to leave like this.
However, I hope you will be more cool and charming.
Again, I'm sorry.
Jaebeom
Jaebeom took the 6:30pm (Korea time) flight back to the States, and there were many fans who turned up to say their last goodbyes.
Today (Sept 8, 2009) is definitely a sad day for K-popped! fans. Farewell Jaebeom, we will all miss you.

2PM not coming to Malaysia, 2AM to perform at after party
According to a reliable source, who works at a local recording company, Korean boyband 2PM will not be coming to Malaysia in August...but 2AM will.
coming to Malaysia, the 2PM boys experience a brief break down
where they get in touch with their...er, feminine side.
The boy’s boss JYP tweet-ted that he will be sending 2PM to the 2009 MTV Asia Awards in Malaysia this August.
That was before we discovered that the MTV Asia Awards has been scrapped and is being replaced by the MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia.
JYP a.k.a The Asian Soul has since removed his tweet announcing the matter.

beloved fans as they are only scheduled to perform at
the post-party
However, our source tells us that 2AM will instead be coming to Malaysia. The Confession of a Friend singers will not perform at the show but will be taking the stage at the by-invitation-only after party.
Boo!

A look at 2PM practising Hate You
Boys will be boys – dropping the mic, colliding into each other and basically goofing off when trying to perfect their performance.
JYP’s 2PM boys, who are reportedly coming to Malaysia for the 2009 MTV Asia Awards, is seen in the following video clip practising the dance for their latest single Hate You.
We’ve seen the boys heating up the stage with the routine (if you haven’t, hit the link), now check out what the boys did to get it perfect.

JYP sends 2PM to Malaysia for 2009 MTV Asia Awards
So, you heard it too, right? 2PM is coming to Malaysia for the 2009 MTV Asia Awards (which apparently will be held at Sunway Lagoon, Subang Jaya).
We got the news from 2PM's boss himself – Mr. JYP, who is currently busy touring with his precious Wonder Girls.
Thanks to the Asian Soul’s diligence in updating the public through Twitter, everyone who is worth their K-popped! salt has been receiving juicy revelations on the latest happenings from the JYP Entertainment camp, such as:
1) The Wonder Girls were scheduled to open for some of the Jonas Brothers’ concerts in the US. The girls proved to be so good that they had the JoBros singing, “We want nobody, nobody but YOU (to open for our entire US tour…and oh, Canada too)!"
2) Since JYP is tied up touring with the Wonder Girls, he apologised for not being able to make it to the 2009 MTV Asia Awards in Malaysia(!). However, he appeased all K-popped!-hungry fans by saying that he’s “sending 2PM” over to our neck of the woods – brilliant!
Allow me to quote the man: “Sorry cuz of the Jonas Brothers tour we can't go to da MTV asian awards in Malaysia. But I'm sending 2pm so don't b too sad!”

2PM boys Hate You after Again and Again
JYP’s 2PM are proclaiming their hate for one and all with their second single Hate You.
After gaining much popularity with their first track Again and Again, the boys are once again set to scorch the K-pop charts with their latest single. The R&B track is also taken off their mini-album, 2:00PM Time For Change.
In conjunction with the promotion of the song, the poster above will be released on June 22. Each member of the band has lovingly autographed their own photo.
The suave boys will also embark on a couple of meet-the-fans event (so much for hating people, no?) :-P.
To kick off their Hate You promotional efforts, 2PM will hold fan signing sessions at the Kyobo Bookstore in Gangnam on June 21 to 27, 28, 30 and July 8.
Check out the Hate You song below...will it be another hit for 2PM? Personally, I like it! :-)

Lady Gaga goes to Seoul...
...and the Korean press gets a gratuitous shot of her butt thanks to her haute couture ensemble by Tokyo-based designer Dress Camp.
The rather…er, out-of-this-world pop singer appeared to the press on Wednesday (June 17) during her three-day promotional trip to Seoul. This was her first visit to South Korea.
The 23-year-old also held a showcase that evening at Cheongdam-dong’s Club Answer.
Born Joanne Stefani Germanotta, the Poker Face singer was also interviewed by 2PM’s Jaebeom for Mnet’s Wide Entertainment News programme (pic below).
Jaebeom, the lead singer and oldest member (at 22) of 2PM, conducted the interview with the lady-who-doesn't-like-to-put-on-pants in English as he was born in Seattle, Washington.
I wonder if he went "Ga Ga" over her outfit ;-P.

and fashioned it into the shawl-like thingy you see here.'
