Lee Dong Gun and Cha Ye Ryeon break up

It has been reported that hallyu stars Lee Dong Gun (When Night Comes, Sangdoo, let's go to school!) and Cha Ye Ryeon (Bad Love) are no longer an item.

Four months ago, pictures of Lee Dong Gun and Cha Ye Ryeon shopping together (and buying matching sneakers) at Apgujeong surfaced. The couple were also seen playing golf together. In February, Lee Dong Gun also made a cameo appearance in the SBS drama A Star's Lover, where Cha was starring in. All this pointed to the fact that Lee and Cha were dating.

However, when a reporter asked Lee Dong Gun's dad, he said "(Lee Dong Gun and Cha Ye Ryeon) are not dating." Another source said, "The two of them were not in a love relationship between a man and a woman. They were just friends."

Okay i guess Lee and Cha are no longer a couple.

Meanwhile, Lee Dong Gun was supposed to enroll for military service in July but this has been postponed due to health reasons.

Lee Dong Gun at the Dior Homme Party, Hong Kong

Here are some old photos of Lee Dong Gun at a Dior party in Hong Kong last year. Although it is somewhat dated, fans of Lee Dong Gun might appreciate these...so here they are. :-) Josh Hartnett and Daniel Wu (who looks like an "apek" in some of the photos) were there too.

Lee Dong-gun and Igawa Haruka in a scandalous affair?

These two have been seen together in many places and fans smell a scandal.

Me and my girl: Lee Dong-gun (right) with his lady friend
Igawa Haruka

Japanese model/ actress Igawa Haruka (32) has been spotted at various hotspots in Seoul on a date with Korean heartthrob Lee Dong-gun (28). Igawa is married to fashion designer Matsumoto Ato.

Cool down, fangirls, the truth is, the pair were just portraying love birds for a Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) advertising campaign.

Lee Dong-gun and Igawa Haruka were filmed in Insadong, Myeongdong and Cheongdamdong. The stars even "dated" at the romantic island of Jeju, Busan and Gyeongjoo -- all in an effort to showcase the tourist spots to the many young Japanese netizens, who were the target market of the KTO ad campaign.

On a date: The pair promotes South Korea's hotspots
through their "dates".

Curious: Many are wondering what the pair is up to

Images of Lee Dong-gun and Igawa Haruka first appeared on August 25 and sparked a rumour that something was going on between the two. Thanks to today's technology of YouTube, mobile phones and power bloggers the "scandal" spread like wild fire on a windy day.

The KTO got the Japanese public good as it proved to be an effective way to create hype over the promotional campaign.

Salad Song - A duet by Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Dong Gun

Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Dong Gun sings a duet!

Here's a surprise, Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Dong Gun suddenly sings a duet in the form of a Salad Song. It's a laid back number, good listening for a lazy Saturday morning.

Yoon Eun Hye doesn't necessary have the strongest voice, but she can carry a tune and sings this song about fresh fruit and vegetable (no?) with ease. And Lee Dong Gun (who just released his first full length album entitled My Biography) provides the same laid back vocals in this song.

They sing ...The Salad Song!

The song is quite addictive i must say, and i've listened to it three times already!

Lee Dong-gun wants marriage ASAP

Lee Dong-gun (28) wants to get married as soon as possible, even before he enlists for military service, which he says to be sometime next year.

Will you marry me?: Lee Dong-geon wants to get married...quick

The When Night Comes actor reveals: "After recently experiencing an unfortunate incident, I wanted to get married as soon as possible. I'll be going for military service around next year and I want to get married before then."

The "unfortunate incident" he is talking about is the untimely death of his younger brother in Sydney in March this year. Feeling the need to "fill" the place of his missing brother, the actor confesses that he wants to get hitched for his parents' sake - to show them that their remaining son is living well.

"I think if a new person comes into our family, I'll feel more comfortable too," he reasons candidly. "Even for me, I think that a lover or a wife can fill the emptiness I feel."

Lee then goes on to reveal his ideal girl: "Someone who is not famous, has many life experiences, mature and tolerant."

Since the actor has been under the spotlight from a young age, his past relationships have always been with co-workers. His latest ex is actress Han Ji-hye - the pair broke up early this year. He says, "Before, feelings were important, but there was always something that didn't work out."

Introvert: Will it be difficult for Dong-gun to find
someone special because of his nature?

However, the star has a problem. The self-professed introvert dislikes being matched up by a third party and likes being alone. Lee figures that with a personality like that, it will be difficult to meet that special someone.

"I'm not very close with others, and I am also very shy and introverted. So I hope to meet someone who can complete and lead me," he reveals.

"I don't think I am very attracted to people I meet through others. I feel that getting to know a person after meeting them is most important, but on blind dates, there's nothing like that. Thinking about it now, I think it'll be hard to meet a good person (laughs)."

Lee hopes to find a lady who can get along well with his family. After the tragedy, he hopes that his family can find peace again through his marriage.

Kim Sun-ah escapes in a red Kimono

Can you guess who is Kim Su-na running away from in a red Kimono and slippers in hand?

Well, it's none other than her co-star Lee Dong-gun. They have begun filming their new MBC drama When Night Comes (밤이면 밤마다) in the city of Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan.

Kim Suna reprises her role as an unmarried woman (in her thirties i would assume) who works with cultural treasures (sort of like a museum curator?). Lee Dong Gun who was rumoured to back out of this drama due to his brother's tragic death, plays an art professor (a very young and cute one that is) with an interest in err...what else treasures!

The drama will start airing on 16 June, 2008.

Han Ji-hye and Lee Dong-gun calls it quits

In the news today..."Korea's Cutest Couple" Han Ji-hye and Lee Dong-gun have broken-up after a 3-year relationship.

They seem to be everyone's favourite couple. I've read on blogs and on the Internet about their relationship and have not found one single comment that does not like the union. But despite having the favour of all around, alas, they are not together anymore.

KBS Drama Sweet 18

Han and Lee met in 2004 while filming the KBS 2TV drama
Sweet 18. Later, they worked together in the movie My Boyfriend is Type-B.
