How else do you explain Mr. Dimples’ disappointment when Lee Da-hae mentioned that Daniel Henney is her ideal type during a talk/game show? Apparently, the 34 year old is a tad jealous about that.
Why, oh why?: 'What does Daniel Henney have that I don't, Da-hae?'
The model turned actor, who is portraying Song Tae-ha in the popular KBS sageuk drama, confesses that he always has a girl in mind.
During the Entertainment Weekly’s Guerrilla Date aired on Feb 27 in South Korea, Oh was asked if he has any girl in mind.
He replied: “Yes, always. But of course I wouldn't tell (who she is) even if she is my girlfriend, and I know I will get caught anyway if I really have a girlfriend.”
Uh-huh, what sort of cover up is that? Tsk tsk tsk. Somebody, please teach the man how to lie more convincingly. Well, at least he isn’t thinking about boys.
Girl fantasies aside, Oh also said that he just wants to keep acting well and be loved by fans. As for his future plans, he said: “I used to consider Hollywood but now I think it’s still a bit early.”
Song Tae-ha and singing
The actor also talked about how he was cast as Song Tae-ha, a general of the army before the machinations of ambitious politicians caused him to live the life of a slave.
According to the actor, many have told him that he wasn’t suitable for sageuk dramas.
“I had never thought about it but since people kept telling me, I eventually believed that I wasn't cut out for historical stuff. However, as soon as I saw Chuno, I just had to do it no matter what.” (And I'm so glad he did. - Liz)
Oh also mentioned that he has never been cast opposite younger actors in romance dramas because he looks mature. He then revealed how he was prepared to kick start his entertainment career as a singer.
“When I was auditioning, I was asked if I could sing. I just said: ‘I don’t think I sing too bad’”.
So can oppa carry a tune? Watch Entertainment Weekly to find out because Oh Ji-hunk breaks into Stigma by Yim Jae-bum, a track that can be found in Chuno’s original soundtrack (listen to the original below).
Entertainment Weekly airs Tuesday nights @ 11:20pm in Malaysia (Astro channel 303).
So, are you enjoying The Slave Hunters a.k.a Chuno on KBS World?
Malaysians will only get the drama’s 4th episode tonight and I must tell ya, Chuno has kicked off with a really good start.
On the prowl: Slave hunters doing what they do best
So far, the story is interesting, the leads are full of charisma and the comedy is spot on. I rarely spend time watching dramas (preferring to watch a 2-hour movie and be done with it), but I think I’ll make time to watch this 24-episode series. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Oh Ji-ho is in the drama ;-). I’ve only watched two out of the three episodes and surprisingly, what has caught my eye – up until this moment – is not the leads but supporting actor and comic relief Kim Ji-suk (Likeable Or Not). He’s a hoot as the lascivious Wang Son, an apprentice slave hunter who has nothing on his mind but girls.
Ha ha: Kim Ji-suk is funny as Wang Son
Kim is reportedly set to exchange his torn and tattered Chuno clothes for a more contemporary attire. He will be appearing in Lee Min-ho’s new drama Personal Taste.
As for the stars of Chuno being chummy, Lee Da-hae, who portrays Hye-won in the show, has put up a series of photos of her with her leading men. Don’t they look cute together?
Buddies: Oh Ji-ho (left) and Lee Da-hae get close
Pals: In costume, on set
Chums: Jang Hyuk wants to pose with his leading lady as well
To check out what I’m ranting about, tune in to KBS World (Astro 303) tonight at 9pm. Chuno goes on air every Wednesday and Thursday.
Are you watching Chuno? What do you have to say about it? No spoilers, please.
Actor Jo Han-sun (29) tied the knot with his baby’s mama Jung Hae-jung at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul on Jan 9.
Solemn: The couple going through the wedding vows in their minds
The 27-year-old bride is a graduate art student. The couple met through friends in 2007. Jo has appeared in movies such as Lost and Found (2008) and Attack the Gas Station 2 (2009).
Happiness: Is when the couple is pronounced "Man and wife"
About 1,000 people turned up for the wedding where actor Kim Soo-ro played the master of ceremonies while actor Baek Yoon-sik officiated the ceremony.
Strange: Jang Hyuk likes to ponder upon life...all the time
Lee Da-hae, who portrays a runaway slave in the KBS drama The Slave Hunters, recalls a bizarre incident that happened right after filming a make out scene with Jang Hyuk.
“I had a kiss scene with him in the drama Robber (Bulhandang) and I have one again in The Salve Hunters (Chuno). Right after doing the scene, he suddenly asked me, with utter seriousness: ‘What do you want to be in 10 years' time?’”
Soul searching question: Lee Da-hae worries over what she will be in 10 years' time
It looks like Jang Hyuk likes to surprise those around him with soul searching questions/ stories. His other The Slave Hunters co-star also has a strange Jang Hyuk story to tell.
Oh Ji-ho said: “I ate with him after shooting an action scene then I had to talk with him about life for the next two hours. It was difficult because I was tired and also sleepy after the meal.”
To which Kim Soo-ro interjected: “Two hours is nothing! I worked with him in Volcano High for almost a year and he told me life stories all the time!”
What is the meaning of life?: Oh Ji-ho (pic above) finds talking to Jang Hyuk after a heavy meal...tiring
So what does Jang Hyuk have to say about his quirky behaviour? While he admitted that he is a serious person, he also added: “I only did that to be closer to you guys.”
The celebrities talked about this during the KBS 2TV programme Happy Together: Season 3.
Catch the quirky Jang Hyuk and his fellow co-stars Lee Da-hae and Oh Ji-ho in The Slave Hunters, which will be airing on KBS World (Astro Channel 303) on Feb 3 at 9pm.
“Right after completing national service, I attempted to be a nightclub singer with my cousin,” Oh Ji-ho revealed during a KBS 2TV programme.
Almost singer: Oh Ji-ho had a few stints at the nightclub after national service
The 34 year old appeared in the show Tell Me Who Your Type Is: New Year’s Edition where a group of female celebrities competed for the “most attractive” title. Perhaps it was because he was in the presence of such beauty that The Slave Huntersactor dished out such a secret. Anyway, Mr. Dimples did not walk down the guitar-toting path as the model turned actor discovered that the nocturnal lifestyle of a nightclub singer did not go well with his acting aspirations.
He said: “It was just for the experience at first, but once I got to know the lifestyle (reversed night and day), I thought it might negatively affect my life as an actor.
“I called it quits eventually because I thought it was not the career I wanted, which was to become an actor.”
Well, thank God for that. Otherwise Oppa will be holed up in some dingy club doing cover versions of The Beatles while the rest of the world remains ignorant of his existence.
Oppa then drew applause from the audience after singing for them. Dang, who has that video clip? Share please.
There’s only one reason why I want to watch this K-drama and it’s none other than Oh Ji-ho (pic below). The model turned actor will be appearing as a slave in the KBS sageuk drama entitled The Slave Hunters (a.k.a Chuno).
The 34 year old plays Song Tae-ha in the drama. Tae-ha is a slave who is falsely accused of a crime he didn’t commit. He is hunted by a bounty hunter named Lee Dae-gil (Jang Hyuk) who is seeking revenge on Tae-ha. Both men then become entangled in a love triangle with Un-nyun/Hye-won (Lee Da-hae), a runaway slave who becomes a nobleman’s daughter. The Slave Hunters will reach Malaysian shores on Feb 3, 2010. It will be showing at 9pm on everyone’s fave (and one and only) Korean channel, KBS World (Astro channel 303).
Will you be tuning in for the show?

Reel life: Hye-won (Lee Da-hae, centre) with bounty hunter Dae-gil (Jang Hyuk, left) and slave Tae-ha (Oh Ji-ho)
Excuse the oestrogen guys, but how can we not swoon when hunky Oh Ji-ho is offering his services as a personal trainer?
Train with me: 'Yeah, you've gotta expand your chest like this.'
The 33-year-old did just that for Cook TV’s Star Date. Lucky participants of the programme got to hit the gym with the actor.
During the session, the sculpted actor gave participants pointers on the proper ways to work out the chest, abdomen, arms, and lower body. For his personal goal, Oh said, “Instead of Superman’s body, my goal is to get a Batman-like physique. I think good acting partly comes from a healthy body.”
Batman bulges: 'OK, who'd like a feel of my solid chest next?' (Liz faints)
Oh, who is currently portraying a slave in the historical KBS drama Chuno (Slave Hunter), even challenged a participant to a friendly thigh wrestling match (OoOh, pick me!). The participant beat the actor in no time and was pleasantly surprised at his own strength.
Thigh match: 'Sure, thump your chest and do the victory dance right now, but I still win in the looks department.'

Chillin': Oh Ji-hunk takes in a baseball game on a lazy Sunday afternoon
Queen of Housewives actor Oh Ji-ho (33) took in a baseball game this Father’s Day.
He watched from the pit as his Albatross teammates crushed Zoma Zoma 13 - 11. The game was held at the ballpark in Gwangjing-gu, Seoul earlier this afternoon.
Hot and humid: The players quench their thirst while Oh Ji-ho sits comfortably in the shade (4th from left).
Apparently, fellow actor Kim Sung-soo was on a role during the game – he probably hit a number of homeruns.
Competition: Kim Sung-soo (2nd from right) sizes up the competition
Play ball!: He aims...
...and hits one out of the ballpark!
Also, comedian Yoo Jae-seok of the Han team had a ball of a time ;-P.

The Albatross team is made up of celebs such as Park Joon-hyung, Kim Sung-soo, Oh Ji-ho and Yoon Hyung-bin.
Oh Ji-ho donates ₩100,000 to Seo's charity project
Mnet Brand New Friend's Seo In-young held a charity bazaar on May 31 at Apgujeong and guess who turned up to support her efforts?
Oh Ji-ho (don't ask me why he's dressed in baseball uniform) turned up to help sell DVDs, clothes and even donated a cheque for ₩100,000 to Seo's project.
Seo In-young and her Jewelry band mates sold their personal items at the bazaar. From skirts to denim shorts to old DVDs!
Full proceeds of the charity bazaar will be donated to the pediatric ward at Shinchon Severance Hospital, Seoul.

Yes, the hunky actor recently opened up about his ex-girlfriend who committed suicide.
On an MBC programme, which was aired on April 24, the 33-year-old talked about his life as an actor. He started acting since 1998 and became well known through the drama Fantastic Couple (a.k.a. Couple or Trouble).
Heartbroken: 'I really loved her.'
Hearing about the suicide of his former girlfriend was one of the toughest things in his life. “It was not easy to decide to reveal the news to the public since I am a celebrity, but I don’t regret it (making the revelation) now,” Oh said.
One of Oh’s best friend Jo Yeon-woo recalled: “He really suffered (during that time) and it was the first time I’d seen him cry.”
Mr. Dimples is currently starring in the MBC drama Queen of Housewives, where he portrays a cheating husband. Notti, notti ;-).
