South Korea's hopeful at the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam was down with food poisoning on July 6!
Miss Korea Universe Sun Lee (pic) informed her coach Ines Ligron, who arrived in Vietnam on July 7, that she was "terribly sick and felt that she would die."
The doctor was called to Sun's room and the 25-year-old Korean beauty was advised to get a lot of rest.
Also on Monday, Sun mustered up enough energy to attend an interview with the preliminary judges.
Ines Ligron wrote at her blog: "She (Sun) was happy with her interview outcome and she feels confident that she did a good job."

The Miss Universe showdown will be held in Nha Trang on July 14.

I'm not surprised. You have to be careful of what you eat/drink when you're in VN.
When my family was visiting relatives, my mom was tempted by some food bought at a market and got horribly sick.
The food/fruits are really good during the summer but you have to eat in moderation. If you're from a westernize country, your body is not strong enough to fight off the bacteria found in less than hygienic food in VN.

haha. Been there, done that. True, the stomachs of ppl from westernize countries are little bit more sensitive.
