Fraud case against Rain thrown out of court

Rain has been cleared of alleged fraud in Korea. A case filed against him by Click Entertainment for abruptly cancelling his concert in Hawaii in July 2007 was dismissed on Oct 1.

Click Entertainment named Rain, StarM Entertainment, Revolution Entertainment and Rain’s former management agency JYP Entertainment as defendants in the lawsuit.

The Seoul District Prosecutors’ Office decided to reject a request for an investigation. It said that it could not find any clear evidence that the Energizer Bunny (25) and the concert organisers intentionally cancelled the concert to embezzle the contract money.

“It is true that Click Entertainment purchased the copyright of the concert for 500 million won,” the prosecution said. “But the cancellation of the concert was caused by stage related problems. In conclusion, Rain and the management companies are not responsible for the cancellation.”

Click Entertainment is dissatisfied with the decision. Lee Seung-soo, the company's chief administrator said: "It is an unacceptable decision. Another suit is underway in the U.S. and we look forward to seeing the opposite result there." (he then rubbed his hands in glee and threw his head back in laughter - OK, OK, I made that up - Liz)

The ruling Stateside will only be known in August 2008. One court case down, another one to go.

The Energizer Bunny will be performing in Shanghai on Oct 6 and in Daegu, North Gyeongsang Province, on Oct 27. After that, he'll be heading off to the United States in November to work on his English and English album.

I think they really have a chance to win in a US court. We see logic. Logically he 'abruptly cancelled' all his US concerts, you can't have stage problems at all of them. So if they KEPT the money, I pray to god they should be sued and pay it back. Don't keep money for work you didnt do.

Um, I think it's best to at least credit/link to the article/site you rephrased. After all, that's where you get your [English] information from to make your entries :\

And from your previous entries that rephased translated news by fans, I think you should at least credit them properly.

It's only fair, right?
