Jung Ryeo-won to represent Koreans overseas

What does a PR ambassador for overseas Koreans actually do? If someone out there knows, do tell me.

My Lovely Sam-soon actress Jung Ryeo-won has recently been appointed the PR ambassador for Overseas Koreans Day, which falls on Oct 5.

The Foreign Ministry chose the day, and appointed the actress to help bolster unity among Koreans abroad.

It is said that the 26-year-old will begin activities as an ambassador on Oct 1, but the article at KBS World did not elaborate on the kind of "activities".

Ryeo-won spent her school years in Australia and was a member of the girl group Chakra.

According to a Foreign Ministry official, there are about seven million Koreans abroad. Are you one of them?
