Who’d have thought Rooster’s root beer float fix would lead to an article that makes it on Korea’s Empas News (엠파스 뉴스) website?

The news portal took note of K-popped!’s entry on sexpot Lee Hyori being the face of LpJ Hair Salon in Beijing!
According to our reader Jane, who alerted the Trio about the news, it is reported that Hyori’s people have not heard of the salon and are curious about the use of the 29-year-old’s pictures in its brochure.
Oops, did we inadvertently spark the beginnings of a lawsuit?
Apart from Empas News, K-popped! has also been quoted by Singapore’s The Electric New Paper on the subject of Rain’s Scandalous Boobies Shirt.
It's funny, huh, where innocent cravings can lead you to :-). Check out Rooster's original article by hitting this link.

Oh-kay... I guess I won't be making that appointment with LPJ. What if the owner is part of the Beijing Triad?! Eeek... must lay low.
Anyone knows what connections Empas has with Newsis? The site is called Empas, but the image copyright stamp belongs to Newsis. Sister sites? Anyway, that's Rooster's original pic! :-)
Empas is a portal site, like Google. Newsis is the news site.
Oh, so the newsis site also stole Rooster's pics? It's getting interesting....
Yeah Joe...they put their stamp there! At least they did not erase our url at the bottom.
lol. you go girls! ^^
About the pictures, are we being ripped off then? Are we, huh, are we?
Yeah...I hope she sues them. They can't make money off of her image if she was not paid for it. It's like they're making her endorse their salon to bring in business putting customers under a false assumption that Hyori gets her hair done by them.
Like K-popped could write to Newsis and tell them to properly credit the site and photographer because they too did not ask for permission like they should have. But it's the internet...anything goes as long as you don't get caught.
All I can say is AWESOME! I like commotion. Keep up great reporting.
woohoo~! i've been mentioned^^
& yes, i'm a korean-american(to be exact). i try to frequent the korean news sites as much as i can to stay current w/the kpop world.
smells like a lawsuit coming... but is it korean vs korean anyway?
about the pics stolen from K-popped, unfortunately k-popped can just let it go since they still have a link on their site. and k-popped also uses pictures from other sites as well, right?
@anonymous, yeah we are not upset about using our pic at all. happy that they left our url at the bottom. :-) we do not wish LPJ gets into trouble too. just reporting what we found interesting.
I wonder how the writer happened to find K-popped. The article even quoted some comments on the entry.
Who did they quote Joe?
They quoted jane's and ladida's comment. They wrote, 'The foreigners who'd seen this brochure said..'
man, rooster, you sparked a fire!Go go go!!!
and they stole your picture!
i don't know what else to say... i'm like "gaga" over this
@joe - thank you! :-)
You girls are becoming worthy journalists... :) Keep up the good work with this site!
whoa another great exposure for K-popped! CONGRATS!
Yea but the pics do bother me tho *LOL* Altho they didnt remove the URL but is it ok for them to be stamping their name on the pics as well?
Wonder what's gonna happen to LPJ XD
