Many of us are saddened by the almost back-to-back natural disasters in Myanmar and Sichuan, China.

Been digging around to find out if any of our beloved and generous Hallyu stars are helping out.
I'm not disappointed as on May 16, South Korea's actor/singer Ahn Jae-wook (37) became the first foreign entertainer to make a donation to the victims of the Sichuan earthquake.
The Oh! Feel Young actor gave 50mil won (approx. RM 155,000 / USD 47,800) to a fund organised by Chinese singer Han Hong (pic below).
It is reported that in a letter, Ahn Jae-wook said that he had seen the devastation at earthquake-hit Sichuan on TV and is donating the fund, as well as sending his heartfelt sympathies, to the victims through his friend Han Hong.
This is what's going/went on in Sichuan at the time of writing:
- Mourning. At 2.28pm on May 19, exactly a week after the 8.0 magnitude quake hit Sichuan, the Chinese observed 3 minutes of silence to mourn the dead. At least 34, 000(!) people are confirmed dead. China will continue to mourn for 3 days. All China flags will fly at half-mast, whether in China or at Chinese diplomatic missions abroad. The Beijing Olympic torch relay has been suspended from Monday to Wednesday.
- Aftershock. An aftershock of 6 or 7 on the Richter scale will likely hit Wenchuan, which is Southwest of Sichuan. A warning has been issued by the Sichuan Seismological Bureau. They predict the aftershock to occur either on Monday or Tuesday (May 20).

am really glad to hear that :)
and that amount is a lot.
it's saddening whenever the reports show another increment of the number of deaths day after day :(
just for an extra, Hangeng, together with the eyedrops company that he’s endorsing, also donated $6,800,000 to the victims.
