Kim Sa-rang and Ivy in Tokyo,Yeowubi

Kim Sa-rang shows off her hourglass figure &
long black tresses
at the Tokyo, Yeowubi press conference.

Kim Sa-rang will team up with estranged singer Ivy and Kim Tae-woo in a melodrama called Tokyo, Yeowubi which was filmed entirely in Japan.

The drama tells of the love between an actress and a sushi chef in Japan. The director of the drama, Lee Joon-hyung, is famous for directing music videos of singers Sung Si-kyung, Lee Soo-young and Vibe.

Also starring in the TV drama are Japanese actors Otani Ryohei, Okuda Erika and Yamamoto Gaku. Besides the director, writer and producer, the entire crew is Japanese.

The SBS drama will start airing in Korea on June 2, 3, 9 and 10.

Director & cast of Tokyo Yeowubi.
(Ivy was absent)

Since Ivy was plagued with the ugly boyfriend scandal late last year, she has been laying low. This TV drama could be a big break for her. If she could prove to the masses that she has excellent acting chops, last year's scandal would be all forgotten. Are you looking forward to seeing her in the drama?

i love Kim Sarang... she's so beautiful and amazing and I love how she isn't a stick like so many other Korean stars... same with Ivy but the last time I saw Ivy she aged so much. She took the scandal way too hard. Ivy should come to the US-- lol we apparently love stars who make sex tapes... its the best thing that could happen for your career.

Kim Sarang was compelling in the drama. She articulates the emotional crescendos and subtle reticences in a love story that will grab you. I only saw her in another drama in a limited role. I was not impressed by her performance in that drama. However, this Yeowubi drama was a revelation. There is no actress in Korea that can match her range in terms of dramatic resonance.
