East of Eden, the 50-episode big budget MBC drama has revealed the leads. I am familiar with three of them, namely Destiny heartthrob Song Seung Hun (32) rock chick and My Girl's Lee Da Hae (24) and A Millionaire's First Love's Lee Yeon Hee (20). The other male lead will be played by Yeon Jung Hoon (30).

The drama will be about two boys (Song and Yeon's characters) born at the same hospital and their fates intertwine. Now i bet both ladies fall for the handsome Song Seung Hun but only one of them would end up with his love and affections. With 50-episodes to kill, i am sure there will be lots of complications in the drama.
Who do you think will get the man in the end? Will it be Lee Da Hae or Lee Yeon Hee? Who will you be rooting for? For me, i prefer the quiet and demure Lee Yeon Hee compared to loud and boisterous Lee Da Hae. Now i do not know what kind of women they each will portray in the drama yet, that's just a hunch from what i've seen in their previous works. I could well be wrong though.
Are you looking forward to the drama? I am looking forward to see Song Seung Hun in his first drama after returning from military service. He dove straight into the movie Destiny after his compulsory 2-years.

Yesssssss I am soooo looking forward to this drama!
I am definitely rooting for Lee Yeon Hee for the same reasons :) Lee Da Hae can be a good actress...but she just overdoes everything for me. I was really disappointed with My Girl because everyone liked it so much (I did too...but not as much as many people). Song Seung Heon is hot ^_^
Unfortunately, I think his character will choose Lee Da Hae because she ALWAYS gets chosen in her past dramas. Maybe it will change this time?

But I think I will root for Lee Da Hae....
i like lee da hae. but i hope for this drama, she can do a serious and mean (but not evil) second lead. she has done the bubbly and downtrodden roles one after the other lately. maybe she can do something along the lines of her old role in "sweet 18." just to be different.
that said, i don't think i will be watching this drama. 50 eps? i don't think i can do it... even for lee da hae.
hm, i'm rooting for lee da hae! only cuz she's such a versatile actress. i really hope she has the main lead part.
I read the drama tread in soompi saying that Lee Yeon Hee will be the third party between SSH and LDH... but they might be wrong too.. I love Lee Yeon Hee more than i admire LDH.. i just hope Yeon Hee character won't annoy me..

Alamak! 50 episodes? I don't know if I have that much "staying power" especially when if comes to dramas. My attention span quite short one...unless something exciting happens every episode :-).

well...I still think Song Seung Heon's character will go for Lee Da Hae's...hmmm well, I looking forward for it with such big names in this drama!
Just wanted to say I' hoping LYH and SSH end up together, but i feel that its probably gonna be lee da hae since she's the "bigger" star. Though, I bet I would still like LYH and SSH no matter how their character turns out to be; I'm biased lol
mmm ... the storyline is so typical of a korean drama. dun find it that interesting especially with Song Seung Hun as the lead actor!! i love both ladies though and i find Yeong Jung Hoon so sweet-looking.
I LOVE Lee da hae in My Girl, I don't understand why there are people out there who doesn't like the drama coz it's simply one of the best drama ever. w/e.
But as for the heroine of East of Eden I don't mind who is the main leading since both girls look nice.
hey hey hey Yeon Jung Hoon is married to a very fine woman dont forget him... I would love to see Han Ga In as the jealous wife in this drama =D haha! i guess ill be rooting for lee da hae b/c she will prob be the main role w/ lee yeon hee being the support again...

Another new casting for the drama.. Han Ji Hye is in!! wow! another great actress. now they are calling this drama 'stars confrontation'.. i'm not suprised.. all were great actors. Han Ji Hye will be playing the first love of SSH and his childhood friend.. The plot is getting more and more interesting.. Oh now i really can't wait :/

I'll root for lee yeon hee. =) i always like her since millionaire first love. plus, i dont really like LDH, she really exaggerate and overacting in my girl & hello miss.
but i heard she will be the main lead actress. hmm..
Gee the cast makes it worth checking out - I only hope it doesn't disappoint!
Interesting how Song Seung Heon will be co-starring with Yeon Jung Hoon, as Yeon was the last minute replacement for Song in Sad Sonata/Sad Love Story when he had to withdraw due to the military dodging scandal.

omgosh, this drama have so much interesting cast. i hope i won't be disspointed. im not much of a fan of song seung heon, but i love the female leads, especially lee da hae and han ji hye so im looking forward to the drama. im betting there is going to be a lot of twist and turn in this drama so im not even gonna go about predicting who's gonna end up with who as this is just impossible. ill just go with the flow and see what happens. althought im a little dissapointed that mbc have to make alll three female lead a love interest of song seung heon when there are also three other equally capable and cute other male leads. makes me angry. i just hope this is not one of those drama that will make you angry, and just ended up hating some of the characters at the end. gosh, lee da hae better not portrayed an evil role, that's all im saying, OR ELSE ill not forgive mbc. lol

herm. but like you guys, I think SSH will end up with LDH too since she's the main lead. NOOO! LYH should get at least one nice ending in the dramas that she acts in. haih.

as you can see, there's a lot of LYH+SSH scenes but it seems like a one-sided love for LYH. =( idk, i hope im wrong, seriously.
