Congratulations to our readers who won themselves tickets to the coming MTV Asia Awards 2008 on the 02 August (yeah that's this Saturday!) We've received e-mails that some of our readers have already won tickets to the event, and boy do they sound excited.
Tomorrow, Liz and i will be hopping on a bus to Genting to attend the MTV Asia Awards. We are very excited, because it will be our first time attending such a prestigious event. (Thanks to the organizer for the media invite.) I am particularly nervous because it will be my first time photographing on the Red Carpet! Hope to bring you nice pictures. :-)

For the benefit of non-Malaysians, let me tell you more about this place called Genting where the MTV Asia Awards will be held.
Genting Highlands is also called the "City of Entertainment". To those who are not familiar with Genting, in a nutshell, it's the Las Vegas of Malaysia. Located on a hill, it has a cool climate all year round. People usually go there because it houses Malaysia's one and only casino. There are also outdoor and indoor theme parks where you can hang out with friends or if you are a parent with kids, you could go there to spend time. There are also concerts and shows at the amphitheater.
I heard that the American group Pussycat Dolls will be opening at the MTVAA. I hope to bump into lead singer Nicole Scherzinger at the hotel grounds or something. ;-) It would be great to meet her in person.

Malaysian ELFs are getting all excited because Super Junior have started to arrive - in smaller groups and at different times - in Malaysia. Although, i have heard that not all 13 of them will be present at the event.

i wonder if Nicole Scherzinger (PCD) knows tagalog/filipino words... although it would be fun to watch the k-popped sisters shout "KAMUSTA?" to the Jabbawokeez crew ;) would you guys mind doing that? :D

Hey, what kind of bus do we take from PJ to Genting. As in where would be the best place to board the bus? And which hotel would be best to stay at if we were to attend the MTV ASIA AWARDS? Is the First World hotel located near to the arena of stars?

Cool, I hope you guys get some great pics! I wish I could but where I'm seated has strict rules and a 'code of conduct' which means no pictures or asking for autographs....Hope I'm seted near/next to Suju though! That would make my year....Lolz. Have fun!!

omg! have the greatest most amazingest time you guys!! i'm so happy you guys got the media invite. yay! have a safe trip going there and i'm really excited to read your post about the experience.
most definitely if you get to meet the JabbaWockeez - aside from SuJu of course. garsh that dashing SiWon ::melts:: - you gotta talk to them. they are amazingly talented and can really get their groove on. i'm excited to see if they choreographed a new dance just for the ceremonies. i'm sure all the performances will be off the chain!
but yeah, i hope you gals get to fulfill all the stuff you want to do there - like getting to meet your fave celebs and all. i mean, just being able to go is fulfilling all on it's own but still. have a super kick ars time!

not all but definitely MOST of the fans who went to the airport were so uncivilised
this is like the first time i saw eunhyuk with such a serious and gloomy face
two years ago it was a memorable one for them and i am pretty sure that they wanted to come back here as eeteuk never fails to mention MALAYSIA in his cy or on his radio show
i started to doubt, are those that went to the airport their real fans or anti fans?
