Touchdown: Rain arrives at LAX for the 2008 Comic-ConBoth Rain and Keanu Reeves will be at the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con!!! Rain, who has arrived in Los Angeles, will be at the presentation of his Hollywood flick Ninja Assassin.
Ninja Assassin follows Raizo (Rain), one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Taken from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth. But haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan, Raizo breaks free from them…and vanishes. Now he waits, preparing to exact his revenge.
Hollywood studio execs are flocking to the "freaks-and-geeks" fest, which runs from July 24 - 27 at the San Diego Convention Center, in preparation for what has become an essential annual sales job.
Jon Favreau remembers taking the trip to the convention last year to present an early look at Iron Man.
The State.com reports that Favreau’s energetic meet-and-greet, supported by an appearance from an enthusiastic Robert Downey Jr. generated great buzz among fans, which carried over to the movie’s breakout performance at the box office this year.
Meet-and-greet: 'Thanks for the pressies!'I'm sure this is what Rain and his Ninja Assassin crew are planning to do at the conference. Generate hype for the movie, get people excited, get bloggers writing about it, etc. All the best Energizer Bunny...by the way, did you cut your hair? Cute.
Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves along with Jennifer Connelly and director Scott Derrickson, will present an exclusive look at The Day the Earth Stood Still, which is Fox's contemporary remake of its 1951 sci-fi classic. Reeves stars as the alien messenger Klaatu.

Yes, Bi was SO sweet when I talked to him. He said hello and asked how I was, and I told him I was fine, and then (because this is my once in a lifetime chance to tell him!) I told him I was a big fan of his music, and he smiled and said 'thank you!' and I ended up kind of singing 'Nan nappeun namjaya!' and he smiled and laughed and said 'Oh, bad boy!' and he thanked me for liking his music and I said 'kamsahamnida' for the poster, and he laughed and smiled and told me to be sure to see his movie when it came out.
I was this huge bundle of nerves! I couldn't stop shaking! Yes, thanks to my mom for those pictures! If I'd taken them, my hand probably would have slipped and broken the camera! D'oh!
Gosh Kuiper-belt I'd love to be in your shoes!! You're sooo lucky...
