Lee Ji-ah is a violinist in Beethoven Virus

Du Rumi: The violinist played by Lee Ji-ah

You've seen her in Bae Yong-joon's Taewangsashinki (The Legend), and now Lee Ji-ah is set to portray a violinist in MBC's new drama Beethoven Virus.

The 27-year-old and her Beethoven Virus castmates were at the Sungnam Art Center's Opera House at 2pm today to announce the production of the drama.

Kang Gun-woo 1: The conductor played
by Kim Myeong-min

The 16-episode drama is about orchestra conductor Kang Gun-woo (Kim Myeong-min) who is in his 40s. He is a brilliant conductor but has a very bad reputation - he's stubborn and thinks he's correct all the time.

Gun-woo meets violinist Du Rumi (Lee Ji-ah) and a trumpeter who has the same name as him (Jang Geun-suk). The trio become involved in a love triangle.

by Jang Geun-suk

Since the drama is on MBC, this means we Malaysians won't be able to tune in to it...unless we watch it online or get the DVD.

For those who have the MBC network, Beethoven Virus starts airing Sept 10 at 9.55pm (in South Korea). The drama replaces Han Eun-jung's drama South Korean Lawyers.

sorry, but she looks like dawn of the dead in that photo. actually i think eja always looks a little like one of those demon girls who avenges people from the grave in japanese and korean horror movies. i expect to see her creeping up out of the well in my backyard like in 'ringu'.

don't care about this violin movie or this creepy girl.
