Song Hye Kyo's US debut film Make Yourself At Home

Remember we told you that Song Hye Kyo went to the States to work on an independent film? Well, that film will make its premiere at the Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) in October this year. Originally entitled "Fetish", the film has been renamed to "Make Yourself at Home".

A project jointly funded by the U.S. and Korea, "Make Yourself at Home" is directed by Sohn Su-beom and this is his first feature-length film.

Beautiful but mysterious:
Song Hye Kyo plays the mysterious
Sookhy in her first English movie

In this film, Song Hye Kyo plays "Sookhy", a mysterious woman who possess the powers of shamanism (some call her a sorceress).

In the upper class suburbs of New Jersey, Korean American Peter (Rob Yang) is starting a new life with his bride, Sookhy, whom he met through a marriage broker in Korea.

Sookhy chose to marry and migrate to the States to run away from the power of shamanism and its grip on her.

The film also involves church-based Korean communities in the States and confuses the audience with its complexities of cultural context and religious madness.

Pretty heavy for the cute and bubbly Song Hye Kyo. But maybe this film will move her up in the actor ranks if she can hold her own in a movie like this.

Song Hye Kyo is currently filming her up and coming Korean drama "The World We Live In" with Hyun Bin.

I could imagine Bae Doona in a role like this...certainly not she.

I think she's playing a ghost in this film. Maybe that's why she can play with the Caucasian lady's hair and get away with it?

Or she has voodoo-ed the Caucasian lady, that's why they look alike.
