YouTube Symphony Orchestra Project

Korean hallyu star Song Hye Kyo has been appointed the ambassador for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra Project. With her appointment, it is hoped that more young aspiring musicians in the Asia-Pacific region will get to know and participate in this global project. Well, it certainly has worked, if not you will not be hearing about this project here on K-popped!

What's the project all about? If you play a musical instrument, listen up! You have a chance to be a part of the first collaborative online orchestra! Fancy performing at Carnegie Hall in New York!? Interested?

Here's what you need to do...

Song attended a press conference at the Conrad hotel in Hong Kong where she accepted the role. Song said "I am so happy to be participating in the process of finding a classical star from the Asia-Pacific region to introduce to the world."

The South Korean star is expected to attend the concert featuring the winning applicants of the project on April 15th at Carnegie Hall in New York!

Deadline for the global auditions is on 28 January, 2009! Wait! Let Hye-kyo Song tell you more about it.

As incredibly pretty as she is, WHO CARES what language she speaks? I'm not for cloning, but ummm, maybe her parents can have, 3.... no 4... million more of Hye-Kyos. How do they do that in Korean? (make women THAT pretty?) It must be something in the water.....
