Kick, kick: Can you flick that leg?Here’s your chance to show Malaysia what you’ve got – the Korean Wave Contest organized by Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). If you can sexily flick your leg like SNSD or chest pump like the 2PM boys, come show us!
Pump, pump: Can you do the chest pump?In conjunction with Korea Be Inspired Festival 2010 and Visit Korea Year 2010 – 2012, KTO is organizing a competition for all Malaysians and K-pop fans in Malaysia. You must be able to sing, dance or impersonate a Kpop star. (We know you've been doing it in the shower, now take it to the stage!)
Up for grabs are tour packages to South Korea, a cash prize of RM1,000 and gifts.
Come audition
Of course, we need to see what you’ve got first. KTO is looking for 8 finalists (whether teams or individuals) for this grand event.Auditions will be held on April 17 at Korea Plaza (Ground Floor, Menara Hap Seng, Kuala Lumpur) from 2pm – 5pm.

Get your registration forms (so you know the terms and conditions) at Korea Plaza OR email KTO at klktocontest@gmail.com OR call KTO at 03-2143 9000 (ask for Valene).
Apart from that, join the Korea Be Inspired 2010 FB fan page.
Registration ends April 14.
Final showdown
If you (or your group) make it through the auditions, you’ll be performing at the Korean Wave Contest final, to be held at the KL Live Center in Jalan Sultan Ismail on May 15.
As a finalist, you have the chance to walk away with the:
- Grandprize: 5 X Tour packages to South Korea + gift
- 1st Runner up: 2 X Tour packages to South Korea + gift
- 2nd Runner up: 1 X RM1,000 + gift

Im participating! =D since none of my friend is joining so I go as individual. I might not even pass the audition but still want to try out. the prize is freee trip to korea!woohoo

Payad, it can't be indidvidual... it must be a group performance coz the prize is for group...
went to KTO last 2 weeks when they wanna meet representitive of k-pop's fanclub in m'sia... the prizes are totally awesome and if the event will get a lot of good response, they'll consider to do it every year...
But Wawa - I emailed VeleNE and she said ok wor. she emailed me the form and asked me to fill it up and email to KTO
You can enter the competition as an individual. It says so on the registration form :-)

Just call / send KTO an e-mail and they will send you the registration form where everything is stated. It's really simple :-).
Wooaaa....the prizes sure are attractive...but then again, my singing only at the "karaoke di bilik air" level...hhahaaa...so good luck ppl! and err...if we aint participating can we come and watch?

Hi janika, no, the current contest doesn't accept videos. You need to be at there physically at the auditions. If there is another contest next year, maybe you can try that one?
