MC Yoo to lend voice to Bee Movie

Comedian MC Yoo Jae-seok will lend his voice talent to the Korean version of Bee Movie. The funnyman will play the lead role - Barry B. Benson - the character originally voiced by US comedian Jerry Seinfeld.

Yoo said: "It's such an honor to play a role played by Seinfeld, recognised as the world's top comedian. I will do my best to live up to his name."

Bee Movie is about Barry, a honeybee who just graduated from college and is disillusioned with the prospect of having only one career choice - honey. He ventures outside the hive and breaks one of the cardinal rules of the bee world by talking to a human, a New York City florist named Vanessa (originally voiced by Renee Zellweger, I wonder which Korean actress will have the honour of dubbing the character?)

The film is scheduled for a Jan 3, 2008 release in Korea.

Bee Movie was released in Malaysia on Nov 7, and is still showing in cinemas :-).
