Bad Love - Episode 2

Cast:
Lee Su-hwan (Kim Sung-su)
Na In-jung (Lee Yo-won)
Kang Yong-gi (Kwon Sang-woo)
Jo Ann (Cha Yae-ryeon)

I watched Bad Love - Episode 2, and am just dying to discuss the drama with someone. May I?

For those who are not following the drama but plan to watch it later, there are
spoilers in this entry.

Su-hwan & In-jung had an affair.
Despite trying to cling on
to the relationship,
Su-hwan is forced to give it up.
In-jung is no match
for his ambition, hot-tempered forthright
wife
and gambling mother.

As a result of her affair with the married Lee Su-hwan, Na In-jung suffers great loss. Su-hwan's wig-wearing hot tempered wife slashes In-jung's wrist causing irreparable damage and poor In-jung is left without a career. She cannot play her cello.

She also finds herself pregnant with Su-hwan's child. After that, a series of bad luck strikes and she looses the child and her beloved parents meet with a serious car accident.

The confrontation: Su-hwan's wife confronts In-jung
causing her to loose her baby.

In-jung's mom bows her head in embarrassment.

Fast forward five years later and you find In-jung happy but working hard selling fried chicken in a small town. I find the change in scenery very refreshing.

In-jung's little shop - Chicken House.
Does anyone know where this is filmed?

It looks like a small fishing village / island.

There she bumps into Kang Yong-gi again. Yong-gi also has been through heartbreak and his 10-hour-to-shoot kissing partner Jo Ann, has since passed on. We are not told why she committed suicide.

I wouldn't mind meeting handsome Oppa at a seaside town!

All three characters of the love triangle are brought together once again in the small town.

Su-hwan is seen at the small town checking out the row of shops in which In-jung happens to have her "Chicken House" located. His company probably wants to demolish the place and build a modern building.

So near yet to far. Both ex-lovers are less than
10 feet away yet do not see each other.
(So typical of Korean dramas)

In-jung and Yong-gi discover that they bought the same piece of property. In-jung had plans to turn the place into a farm for her surviving father. Her mom died in the car crash.

Another confrontation! Yong-gi and In-jung
happened to have purchased the same piece of property.

Episode 2 ends with In-jung in the arms of Yong-gi
because he was saving her from a ~ certain legless reptile.

What will happen next? Will the two victims of love hit it off and become friends in next episode? They seem to have one thing in common - both recovering from the pain of past broken relationships.

Bad Love - Episode 3

Thanks for your posting. I am watching this drama too and I love Kim Sung Soo and Kwon Sang Woo. Both are great eye candy! I have watched this drama up until episode #8 (Thank goodness for the Chinese subs).

Fraulein,

Are you watching Bad Love on Singapore TV? Which episode are you at?

In episode 2, there were clips of Jo Ann's death. I missed some of the parts in episode 1. Was JoAnn Yonggi's girlfriend? How come Yong-gi left for US? To study?

ahaha. i posted my spazzing of episode 2 in the first post of 'Bad Love'.. but.. here i am again! haha.

i missed episode 1 too..
erm, not really, but i only watched the scene where KSS and that girl met at that maze thingy.
didn't know what happen next.

so im kinda lost when i watched episode 2. but i think im getting it. JoAnn must be his gf right? or what? fiancee? and how come KSW hates his dad so much?

can't wait for this Monday!!

Arin said...

anyway, erm, sorry to get off topic but do you guys watch 'In-sun is Pretty' on KBS World? ^^

Arin,

Kang Yong-gi (KSW) is the result of his dad's affair with another woman. Maybe Yong-gi is bitter about that. I am not sure. Just my speculation.

Because in a scene in episode 2, Yong-gi's father told Suhwan (KSS) that they are both similar - because they had extra-marital affairs.

Yong-gi and that wig-wearing sister of his (btw she does not wear a wig in episode 2 anymore) are actually half sisters. Same father, different mother.

Oh i don't follow "In-soon is pretty". Is it good?

Orchid...In-soon is Pretty is a great drama. It's about life. You should watch it!

Hi Orchid

Yep, i catch it on KBS world in singapore. I must have missed the scenes showing Joanne's death cos i did recall it was ep 2

I am guessing Yong gi's departure from seoul must have something to do with
1)his dad's objections to his relationship with Joanne (remember the old man spouting something like "like mother like daughter" to her.

2) Yong gi's refusal to do take over running of the family business

3) generally being a disobedient twat of a son

4) to pursue his painting career?

I think ; )

:] yeah, i didn't care much for KSW til i saw his performance on "Stairway to heaven". His acting wasn't bad but I love the story & his female co-star even more.
Anyway, I finally watched Bad Love ep 1&2. I'm still kinda puzzled about why his dad disapproved of him dating JoAnn. Plus, it's really hard for me to believe that the main actress could like KSS so much to endure so much suffering. Cuz it's a pretty fast-paced story, i didn't see the sparks between them ;P And as for the meany wife, is she the same girl who played in Sangdoo -- the one who likes Rain & whose child Rain fathered?

Hey guys!! Oh man Bad Love is so addicting! I was hooked on ever since the first episode!! Now I'm waiting for Ep. 3 to come out :D

Orchid said...

Ladida,

The mean wife in Bad Love is not the same as the girl who plays little Cha Bori's biological mother in Sangdoo.

Hong Soo-hyeon (홍수현) plays Han Se-ra in Sangdoo! Let's go to school.

Kim Ga-yeon (김가연) - plays Kim Sungsu's wife, Kang Joo-ran in Bad Love.

stupid rich b*tch!!
if my husband had cheated on me and then only stayed with me, hurting me even more, just so he can accomplish career goals, I would slash his wrists! poor In-Jung didn't know any better! she had no idea the dude was married cuz it's not like he offered it. she's just as much a victim as the rich b*tch was.
