Is he another Daniel Henney-type who is using Korea as a launch pad into US showbiz?
Korean-American Dennis Joseph O'Neil or Dennis Oh kick started his career as a model at 16.
The story goes: Dennis was in the basement of his home working out when a plug on a modelling contest was heard over the radio airwaves. The teenager decided to try it out for giggles and that fateful competition marked his path into showbiz.
Dennis travelled to many Asian countries (Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan) during his modelling stint. The art major even changed his major to photography to help him model better. Another reason: he plans to become a professional photographer once he retires from the entertainment industry.
While modelling in South Korea, Dennis was spotted in 2005 by producer Ko Dong-sun, who promptly cast the talent in the MBC drama Sweet Spy.
After that, the model-turned-actor bagged another role in the 2007 SBS drama Yuhee the Witch (hey, that was recently shown on 8TV in Malaysia! Nope, didn't watch it because the Mandarin dubbing sucks).
At the time of writing this profile, Dennis is said to be working on another MBC drama entitled East of Eden.

i love your blog, but today i have a minor quibble: by "american" i hope you don't mean "white american." there are plenty of americans who are not caucasian. cheers,
he's very handsome. i haven't seen his dramas though so i don't really know how his acting is.
i do fancy daniel henney though. i'm excited for his role in the x-men wolverine movie!
there's also a new korean american making himself known in the On Air drama. his name is Ricky Neely i think. very handsome as well.

he's really good-looking, but from witch yoohee, his acting isn't all that great. at least he attempts at speaking korean, though.
It's amazing how some people (referring to Dennis Oh here) can be so gorgeous looking! He is totally gorgeous! And he has made an efford to learn to speak Korean... big improvement in acting since "Sweet Spy". Go Dennis!! =)
I seriously have trouble distinguishing DO from DH....DO is less "boxy" somehow but otherwise, they look like twins to me :P
Maybe if I see DO acting in something, haven't seen any of his flicks yet.
This guy is just plain hot regardless of his less-than-amazing acting skills.
DO and DH can pass off as twins.Their names are also quite similar.Dennis and Daniel.
really??? I don't think Daniel Henney and Dennis Oh look like alike at all... other than the fact that they are Amerasian, they look very different to me.

well, language barrier is one of his major problem! when i watched him in Yu Hee on our 8tv, i wasn't really interested. plus it was dubbed. but when i went through YouTube, to search for other k-drama, that was when i bump into his very first drama, Sweet Spy!
it seems interesting so i rent the boxset from video ezy & watched it. it was like watching when a duck & chicken talked... but it was an interesting drama to watch!
still i don't really watched Yu Hee when they showed it on tv so i don't really know he's improvement. but a lot of ppl said that he improved a lot in Yu Hee but still language is still a problem to him... i think that is why he only acted in 2 dramas til today...

Wawa, we can rent DVD box sets at Video Ezy? Where, where?

yes, there are some outlets of video ezy or speedy video that allow us to rent a movie or drama. usually the branch that in housing area.
as for video ezy, you can go to TTDI... i always rent the boxset there (when i mean always, it is always :p) as for boxset, they only rent out the VCD format not DVD but as for movie, you can choose either the VCD or DVD...
for speedy video the branch that i know you can go and rent are the one in Desa Pandan or Gombak.

basically you have to be a member before you can rent ant movie/drama! then you can choose to be a member that allow you to rent only VCD format or both VCD & DVD.
as for me, my acct only allow me to rent the VCD format since i don't want to pay more... hahaha! you have to pay for the deposit. if i'm not mistaken in video ezy, your deposit is RM50 for VCD and RM80 (can't remember 80 or 100) for DVD.

they really have a lot of collections. i rented a lot of title from them & they ususally have all the hits title...

So sad, when i heared that he already had a girlfirend in STATES, wel how impossible that maybe, since he had a great looks.. I didn't really notice that it With yoo hee were just a dumbing thing..
