Rain's Kung Fu Fighting track in Cantonese version of flick

Sing: 'Everybody is kung fu fighting....'

Rain's version of Kung Fu Fighting will be heard when the credits roll during the Cantonese version of Kung Fu Panda (KFP).

Say what? Yeah, United International Pictures Malaysia announces that there is a Cantonese version of the latest Dreamworks animated flick. And if you're watching the Cantonese print in local cinemas, you'll hear Rain when the credits roll.

Prepare for awesomeness: The Chinese version of
the Kung Fu Panda poster

However, if you are watching the original English version of the movie, Cee-Lo Green's version will play when the credits roll.

The Cantonese version of KFP will be released on the same day as the original, which is on June 6 in Malaysia.

Hong Kong star Eason Chan will lend his voice to Po the Panda, while father and son team - Jackie and Jaycee Chan are portraying Monkey and Crane respectively. Denise Ho voices Tigress, Josie Ho portrays Snake and Sam Lee plays the Mantis.

i'm kinda glad that the true malaysians will be enjoying the international english version (althought it'll be a lot better if there was a malaysian version). for a moment there i thought they're all caught up in kpop/cpop world that Malaysia has already lost its identity and its own pride.

lostpuppy, by your comment, it clearly shows that you don't really know much about Malaysia.

It's a melting pot of a country with many races and languages. The THREE main races are the Malays, Chinese and Indians. There are so many more races, that it'll take some time to list down...we are ALL Malaysians. And yes, we are far from being a homogeneous society like say Japan or Korea.

Thus whether it's Mandarin/Cantonese, Bahasa Malaysia or Tamil, it is still very much Malaysia's identity.

Oh cool! However, I bet Po the Panda was animated with Jack Black in mind. I can't picture Eason as a bumbeling klutz. Ha ha.
