Rain and Jackie Chan are good friends

Good Friends - 好朋友 (hao peng you)

On May 1, Korean pop sensation Rain (real name Jung Ji-hoon) flew to Beijing, China to support Jackie Chan's Good Friend Concert. The charity concert was held at Beijing's Olympic Stadium a.k.a. the Bird's Nest.

Rain sang two of his songs -- Rainism and It's Raining. For the third number Friends, Jackie Chan came on-stage to sing with Rain. Jackie sang his verses in Mandarin (Chinese) while Rain sang in Korean. It is a rare sight to see them both on the same stage and the audience loved this.

Rain was invited by Jackie Chan to take part in this charity concert. The pair met during the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

So much for Jackie Chan's career. Rain is probably looking for financial backing for his next movie: "Spud Racer 2, and You Thought It Couldn't Get Any Worse."

i hope the chinese people liked his magic stick. gross song ... gross dancing.

HAHAHAHA @ Anonymous #1, I haven't really listened or watched many of Rain's songs/MVs cuz I'm totally turned off by phrases like "magic stick"....but he is still a cutie.

And @ Vic: OMG, I actually tried to sit through Spreed Racer....and couldn't get through like the first half-hour. And that was before most of Rain's pink-haired antics too.

Annnd I adore that picture of them hugging. So cute!

Anonymous 2, His film, "Spud Racer" made the London Times list of the "100 Worst Films of 2008" at #84! And when you add that to his "Clownwear" clothing line, my goodness!

Leave Rain alone. Speed Racer wasn't a flop because Rain was in it, it was a flop because it was a Speed Racer movie.

Don't mind it..I'm sure everyone who visits k-popped will watch Ninja Assassin whether they hate Rain or not..lol *wink*

And speedracer being a flop is old news..let's move on shall we? Rain can surpass the trials around him..you'll see, he'll emerge victorious.

I know I'm looking forward to Ninja Assassin. ^_^ I hope the don't fudge this up.

Regardless of Rain, I like Speed Racer. I think this is a very special film. And, sure, I am not the only one who think this. It's a film to hate or to love, and the controversial is good too.

isn't "ninja assassin" kinda like a redundant thing? after all, one of the ninja's mainstays were assasinations.

bleh. don't fool yourself, shinta. this movie will be flop, as well. they can keep pushing back the release date (of course, they're afraid that in the light of big blockbusters like Wolverine, ninja assassin won't stand a snowball's chance in hell), but it won't matter since it won't be a major draw. you 13-year-olds will need to go with your parents since it will most likely have an R rating. too bad.

i'm not even wasting my money on this one. sorry.

"And when you add that to his "Clownwear" clothing line, my goodness!"

haha! good one! there's just something about a guy wearing a teddy bear emblem on his shirts that worry me ....

Thank you Anon, His clothing line reminds me of a mix between Ronald McDonald, and the Village People. And his sequel to Spud Racer should be a film with a "Gone With The Wind" epic-ness or else we will call it: "Boxoffice Assassin".

Whatever to that Anonymous and "Vic in Long Beach, CA"

What insecure douches.
That's the only thing you can do. Slash at everyone with whatever you can behind your freakin' computer. That's all you can do anyway. don;t waste your money on NA. It's not like your's is worth a million.

If you have read the plot, which I doubt, he is a ninja who kills other ninjas. So, in a way, it's killing the assassins.

And I liked Speed racer. Not because Rain was in it or the plot, but because of all the CGI in there. Groundbreaking.

aewww ... you forgot to tell us all about how we're soooooo unfair to rain! after all, he grew up poor, lost his mom when he was young, was abused by JYP. blahdeblahdeblah. that's all you rah-rah rain fans know. try growing a brain. i'm tired of hearing the same old rhetoric.

I've heard that Rain wasn't the ONLY Korean celeb that was invited to Jackie Chan's charity concert.

SuJu was also there and performed a couple of their songs.
