Bae Yong-joon, who looks extremely gaunt in pictures lately, was rushed to the hospital on Thursday (Sept 17). He was hospitalized for septicaemia.
Sickly: Bae Yong-joon doesn't look well these daysThe 37-year-old’s blood pressure and sugar levels fell sharply on Thursday and test results indicated that the star was suffering from the early stages of blood deterioration. Yonsama, as he is fondly known in Japan, has lost more than 10kg over the last year.
The cause of Bae’s oncoming sepsis is reportedly extreme fatigue and stress. The Hallyu star’s rep said: “Bae has lost a lot of weight and appears to have grown weaker after working hard over the past year on a book that looks into the issue of Korean aesthetics.”
The star was released from the hospital on Sept 21 after five days of treatment.
Today (Sept 22), Bae is scheduled to attend a promotional event of his photobook at the National Museum of Korea.
Busy man: There is no rest for BaeAlso, Bae will be attending promotional events in Tokyo for the animated version of his extremely popular drama Winter Sonata and book from Sept 29 – 30.

Bae Yong June works incredibly hard. He's a workaholic.
He didn't have time to eat and sleep coz he's just finished writing a book. His essay book about Korea is selling like hotcakes in Japan.
