Hallyuwood superstar Bae Yong-joon wants nothing better than to live the simple life of a farmer. He said this when promoting his new book entitled Travel in Search of Korea’s Beauty.
The 37-year-old, who was recently hospitalized for septicaemia, held a press conference at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan on Tuesday.
He said: “If I get another job later in life, I would like to be a farmer. It would be nice to plant something, cultivate the fruit and give the healthy product to someone.”
Bae wasn’t alone during the book launching event as with him were 12 experts on Korean traditional culture who contributed their valuable insights to the book.
So what actually prompted the Winter Sonata star to publish a book on his beloved country?
“I decided to write the book because of an embarrassing moment when I was unable to respond promptly when asked to name great places to visit in Korea at a press conference in Japan," he revealed.
Bae is already planning to write more books. “Writing has a unique charm. I would like to write books that introduce places worth visiting in Korea and gourmet restaurants in the future."
Hmm, sounds interesting.
As for his health, the actor commented that he is on the road to recovery and will be healthy again soon. Yay!
